  • The USA Pickleball National Championships were held at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. The tournament featured singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events in all age divisions. The top players in the world competed in the tournament, and the competition was fierce.
  • The USA Pickleball Hall of Fame inducted its newest members during a ceremony at the National Championships. Michelle Enright was inducted for her accomplishments as a player, including winning the world championship in 2014. Barney McCallum was inducted for his contributions to the sport as a pioneer and promoter.
  • The Pickleball Channel launched its new podcast, Pickleball Talk, on June 13. The podcast is hosted by Pickleball Channel CEO Matt Coffman and features interviews with top pickleball players, coaches, and broadcasters. The podcast is available on all major podcast platforms.
  • The Pickleball Pro Tour announced its 2023 schedule on June 14. The tour will feature 10 tournaments in the United States and Canada. The tour will kick off in January with the USA Pickleball Nationals in Naples, Florida.
  • The International Pickleball Federation (IPF) announced that pickleball will be a demonstration sport at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The IPF is working to have pickleball added as a full medal sport at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
